A primary goal of E. Stewart Mitchell, Inc. is to
eliminate or control both known and potential safety and health hazards which
our employees face on the job. In order to do so, we must adhere to the
following guidelines:
1. Safety and health are a shared
responsibility. Everyone from the top management to supervisors to each and
every worker must take responsibility for his or her own safety and that of co-
workers, customers, and the general public.
2. Maintaining a safe and healthful
work environment is not just an idea - It is Top Priority.
3. It is everyone's job to spot hazards
and to correct them or report them in a timely manner.
4. Where hazards cannot be completely
eliminated, they must be reduced through engineering or administrative controls
or, through the proper use of personal protective equipment. (PPE)
5. Every individual will be trained to
perform work safely. Should an individual feel inadequately trained to perform a
job function, he/she must immediately discuss the problem with his or her
supervisor.
6. As a condition of employment, each
employee must work in a safe manner.
Adopting and following this safety
policy will significantly contribute to the improved efficiency of our
operations as well as enhance the profitability of our corporation, It will
benefit our customers, our personnel and our community. E. Stewart Mitchell,
Inc, is committed to the delivery of a service product that satisfies our
customers and provides a reasonable profit in a manner protective of the
environment.
